1. Maintain a regular routine
When working remotely, it’s important to set a schedule and stick to it, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance to avoid burnout. That being said, one advantage of remote work is the flexible timetable it allows. We recommend adjusting your routine to your daily workload so that you aren’t working more hours than necessary.
2. Have a clutter-free workspace
Where possible, create the most comfortable and clutter-free space and designate it just for your working hours. This allows your brain to automatically separate ‘work’ from ‘play’, causing you to make the most of your working hours to deliver top-notch work. If that’s not possible, just moving your laptop from your lap to your desk can have tremendous benefits for your concentration, performance and productivity.
3. Take breaks & have a set clock out time
Make sure you know your company’s policy on breaks and take them, after all, breaks are there for a reason. Get up and move around, stretch your legs or even get some food and water. Calling a friend or family member when you’re feeling overwhelmed definitely helps lighten up your work mood, and cracking a laugh can really get you going for the rest of the day. It’s also super important for you to have a pre-assigned clock-out time so that you avoid overworking yourself.
4. Get dressed
Performing and being your best self has a lot to do with feeling good with yourself. Getting dressed comfily but in style can help boost your confidence, self-esteem and positivity, where you will naturally feel that you are performing at a higher level. Wearing a full MANOLA outfit will most definitely boost your mood :)
5. Eat healthy means & drink water
Remember that a healthy mind needs a healthy body. In order to perform at your best, make sure you’re fueling your body by eating nutritious foods and drinking plenty of water. Having regular snacks can be motivating and can help keep your focus up during peak hours of the day.
6. Posture
It’s so easy to fall into bad posture habits when working from home. At MANOLA, we want to remind you of the importance of good posture and to continuously check on it and correct it if you find yourself slacking. Bad posture can not only lead to body soreness, but also headaches which may hinder your productivity.
